أعلام الجيولوجية
الأستاذ الدكتور محمد الوصابي… علم من أعلام الجيولوجيا في اليمن
أحد الجيولوجيين اليمنيين الذين ساهموا في التعريف بجيولوجيا اليمن في الداخل والخارج من خلال الرحلات الحقلية والأبحاث العلمية. يعتبر عَلَمُنا من قلائل الجيولوجيين اليمنيين الذين استكشفوا مناطق اليمن حقليا من شرقها إلى غربها ومن شمالها إلى جنوبها وتعرّف إلى جزرها، فلاتكاد تذكر محافظة إلا وله فيها خبرة حقلية أو عمل بحثي. لم يكن الدكتور محمد الوصابي من محبي الشهرة، ومن رواد المجالس، ولا الخطب الرنانة … بل هو رجل علم يجد متعته في مجال عمله بحثا وتعلُّما وتعليما. نقدم اليوم هذا الرائد في موقعنا هذا لنوفيه بعض حقه…..

1987 – الآن: منظم وقائد ومشارك للعديد من الرحلات الجيولوجية في جميع أنحاء البلاد.
2006-2014: منظم وقائد عدة رحلات ميدانية عبر جزيرة سقطرى.
2008، 2011: زيارة Dino-Park Münchehagen، ألمانيا.
2008: زيارة متحف ماستريخت للتاريخ الطبيعي، ماستريخت، هولندا.
